Virgil Ball

This beloved sweet little thing owes its form to the controversial Bishop Virgil. The Irish monk and scholar was not only the designer of the first cathedral in Salzburg, but also a visionary. He was certain, as early as 800 AD that the earth is round and expressed his opinion fearlessly.

In memory of the progressive St. Virgil our Head Patissier, Claudia Gerstl, created the Virgil ball.
