Save Gasoline
The streets are paved with gold. Petrol Saving Tips
Pump as much air into the tyres as the tyre manufacturer recommends! The recommended tyre pressure is on the tyre. Besides saving petrol from 0.5 to 1 litre per 100 km you shorten the breaking distance, increase safety and extend the life span of the tyres. |
Start the motor at the last moment! Buckle-up, adjust seat position, start - drive off immediately |
Start without gas! |
As often as possible: Turn-off engine! Idling uses an exhaust gas flow of 591 litres per minute. After 20 seconds of idling you are recommended to turn off the engine. |
Anticipate driving! Use the throttle cut-off, to coast and if possible avoid idle standing. Continue driving from the standing position that uses the most petrol. |
Do not drive with unnecessary loads and use the existing electrical equipment economically |
Timely maintenance! Dirty air filters, poorly maintained ignition systems and wrong mixture adjustments cost up to 20 per cent more fuel. |
Constant speed! Always drive in the highest possible gear: Thus you avoid the uneconomic high number of revolutions. With many vehicles you can drive 50 to 60 km/h in the highest gear without using the gas pedal much. |
Avoid short trips! |
