Environmental Team

A basic prerequisite for the acquisition of the EMAS certificate is to outline the installation of an environmental team and an environmental management representative. The management of the house appointed Mr. Ing. Reinhard Weinmüller, Administrative Manager, as the environmental management representative.

During the composition of the environmental team the focus was that there would be members from all departments, if possible. This succeeded in most departments very well; at the first meeting on 14 June, 2005 one employee from every department was greeted. From the kitchen (Gabriele Huber Rieder), House Cleaning (Bojana Jovicic), Building Technician (Hermann Dürnberger), Secretary (Franziska Oberholzner), Director of Studies (Mag. Johanna Wimmesberger) and from the management (Engineer Reinhard Weinmüller).

The primary goal of the environmental team should be to become a permanent institution in-house and provide a long-term internal rising of consciousness about the topics of environment, social awareness and sustainability.

The participation in the environmental management EMAS signified the first project for the newly-formed environmental team. With the help of the two advisors, Vera Flecken (KATE Stuttgart) and Klaus Breyer (IKG Westfalen) the validation of the environmental explanation took place after intensive work on 27 June, 2006 by Consultant, Henning von Knobelsdorff.
